a request (help!)

Hi. Hello. So I’m planning on going to SXSW in March but I am not planning to buy a badge.  From what I understand, many of the hotels that are near the convention center require you to have a badge to request to stay at said hotel.  Does anyone know of any hotels in the area that don’t require you to have a badge to stay there? or any other accommodations that I can look into?  

This is my first time going and I want to do it right. If you have any ideas or tips PLEASE message me here
